American College Testing (ACT)

 Info about the ACT at Central Cabarrus High School 

  • The exact date for the school's ACT administration for the 2021-2022 school year is TBD but the exam will take place in early March 2022.
  • Make-Up Date for this exam is TBD.
  • The exam will start at the beginning of the day and end during 3rd period.  Once dismissed, students taking the ACT will report to D lunch.
  • Pre-Administration will be completed during homeroom on dates TBD.
  • There is no cost to Juniors for this state administration of the ACT exam.

ACT Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I take the ACT at school? 
    • Central Cabarrus High School will administer the ACT to all 11th grade students once during the school year on a regular school day during the Spring semester.
  • When will I get my scores back? 
    • ACT releases scores 5 - 8 weeks after the exam. 
      • Students will be emailed once their scores are available.  Those scores can be reviewed online.  Schools do not typically receive scores until 1 - 2 weeks AFTER students have received their scores.
  • Can I take other tests at school? 
    • Central Cabarrus High School only administers the ACT as a state exam to enrolled students.
  • What do I bring to the ACT on test day? 
    • Great question! Check out the list below of do's and don'ts!

        • Photo ID
        • Number 2 Pencils (No Mechanical Pencils)
      • PLEASE DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ON TEST DAY:

        • Other Personal Electronic Devices including Smartwatches, Fitbits, iPods, gaming devices, etc…
