Welcome to Central Cabarrus High School STEM!
The CCHS STEM program is honored to be one of only eleven high schools across the state to be recognized as a Model High School STEM School of Distinction program. The STEM Schools of Distinction program was developed to identify and recognize exemplary STEM schools and STEM programs. The Central Cabarrus STEM program exemplifies outstanding leadership and learning, which empowers keen creative thinking, reasoning and teamwork which we believe are the underpinnings of 21st century skills .This "Model Level" of achievement is gained by going even further by systemically interweaving science, technology, engineering and mathematics into complementary coursework in the arts, career and technical education, English language arts, healthful living and world history.

Through a comprehensive, hands-on STEM curriculum grounded in the Central Cabarrus High School STEM Design Cycle, students engage in a structured process that emphasizes developing a deep understanding of problems, generating and testing solutions, analyzing and refining ideas through feedback, and creating impactful final designs. This experiential approach equips students with the skills, adaptability, and mindset needed for success in their postsecondary pursuits and beyond. Our vision is grounded in the following beliefs:
