Hispanic Heritage Month Recap

Your VMC hosted 7 special events for Hispanic Heritage Month, giving CCHS students in-school opportunities to engage with Hispanic culture and Hispanic guest speakers, including a student concert, the NC Latino Film Festival, Latin Dance lessons, and more!

Native American Heritage Month Recap

Your VMC hosted 4 special events during the month of November giving CCHS students the chance to learn about Indiginous history and modern life, including a guest lecture from a UNCC Professor and a student presentation on her grandfather’s Cherokee traditions. We even enjoyed some Native American foods prepared by Ms. Hill and had a display all month provided by Town Creek Indian Mound.

National Career Development Month Recap

Your VMC worked with our CCHS career development coach to provide guest career speakers all month long for students. They included a visiting author/illustrator, a representative from Nashville Deisel College, and multiple events about navigating the business world successfully. Your VMC is committed to serving all aspects of our CCHS community.

Media Center Usage

More than 100 students choose to use the VMC to learn and connect daily!

Most days each week, teachers scheule time in the VMC with their classes!

The VMC supplies students with loaner chromebooks as needed on a daily basis!

The VMC is the heart of our school’s academic and social life!
