Principal – Dustin Shoe

As a Central Cabarrus High School alum, Mr. Shoe is excited to be re-joining the Viking community.  He was born and raised in Cabarrus County, attending the original Bethel Elementary School, J.N. Fries Middle School, and Central Cabarrus High School (class of 2000).  He attended Wake Forest University and earned a B.A. in English with a minor in Secondary Education.  He also earned a Master of School Administration degree from UNC-Charlotte.  He has taught or served as an administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.  This is his 19th year in Cabarrus County Schools.

Assistant Principal – Michelle Kline

Ms. Kline is originally from Akron, Ohio. She moved to the Charlotte area after graduating from Miami University. She began her teaching career at C.C. Griffin Middle School where she taught eighth grade English Language Arts for ten years and then at Harold E. Winkler Middle School for one year. Ms. Kline coached softball and volleyball during her years teaching as well. After teaching for eleven years, Ms. Kline participated in the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program. During those two years, she attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she received a Master of School Administration. She completed her principal internship at Harrisburg Elementary School. She then began her career in administration as an assistant principal at Winecoff Elementary School. She is excited to now be a part of the Viking community! Ms. Kline became an Assistant Principal at Central in January 2023. She is the administrator for students with last names beginning with A-F.

Assistant Principal – Kristy Bullock

Mrs. Bullock just joined the Viking family this year.  More details to come! Mrs. Bullock is the administrator for students with last names beginning with G-M.

Assistant Principal – Andy Platek

Originally from Niagara Falls, New York, Mr. Platek joined Cabarrus County Schools in 2006.  He served as a math teacher for eleven years teaching at both Jay M. Robinson High School and Northwest Cabarrus High School.  In addition, he served as the multi-tiered systems of support coach at Robinson for the 2017-2018 school year.  He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo and his Master's Degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  Mr. Platek is the administrator for students with last names beginning with N-Z.
